We’re currently looking for a client-facing Account Manager to come on board and manage our clients’ paid social programs. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with previous paid social experience who is looking to hone their skills in a flexible work environment, gain exciting client experience across verticals, and help shape the future of our agency. The role is a remote (based in the US or Canada, available during EST), contractor position that will begin as part-time (20+ hrs/week) with the option to increase to full-time hours as well grow.


Responsibilities

Act as day-to-day contact for our amazing clients. Oversee each client’s paid campaigns from brief to execution. Become their “go-to” contact for all things paid social.

Directly setup (in collaboration with our Ads Specialist) + manage ad campaign launches on platforms like Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Youtube, Snapchat, Twitter, and TikTok.

Daily monitoring of campaigns to ensure performance is meeting prescribed campaign KPIs and that budgets are pacing accurately.

Deliver weekly client-facing excel reports of campaign performance with actionable insights and recommended updates. Lead weekly reporting calls with clients.

Manage ad creative coordination and approvals with clients and provide creative best practice recommendations. Occasional light copywriting.

Internal management of projects in collaboration with other team members via Asana.

Partner directly with CEO of Cornerlight Digital and founding team on strategic deliverables to ensure seamless transition between initial strategy and campaign execution.


Requirements

3-5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 1-2 years in the paid social space. Work on e-commerce brands + past agency experience is strongly preferred.

Experience running campaigns via Facebook Ads Manager is a must. Proficiency on other social ad platforms like LinkedIn, Pinterest, Youtube, Snapchat, Twitter, and TikTok is preferred.

Understanding of technical elements of campaign setup (i.e. platform pixels, custom conversions, UTM codes, etc.) is strongly preferred.

Excellent communication skills with clients. This role will act as the day-to-day liaison between Cornerlight Digital and our clients that consist of both global brands + startups. Must be comfortable communicating with all levels of contacts within an organization from day-to-day coordinators to senior leadership.

Meticulous attention to detail: No report or email should ever be sent with miscalculations or typos! This also means being an extra set of eyes on all client deliverables, ad creatives, etc. AKA be the copy editor no one asked for :)

Fundamental understanding of the marketing funnel + digital marketing landscape: We aren’t just a “branding” agency or a “performance marketing” partner. We work with clients to create full-funnel paid social strategies that drive tangible business results.

Proficiency in excel: ability to easily turn large data sets into client-ready pivot tables is a must! Must also be comfortable quickly calculating digital advertising metrics (CTR, CVR, AOV, CPM, etc.) to share updates or assess performance. Experience with Google Data Studio reporting is a plus.

A creative eye: While we aren’t a creative production house, we do advise our clients on ad creative best practices and act as unofficial copywriters / creative directors to ensure the ads we promote are set up for success. Looking for someone who can flex their creative muscles when needed!

Demonstrated critical thinking: Ability to effectively translate a “big picture” strategy into day-to-day campaign execution. This also means asking informed questions before diving into a task to ensure accurate and thorough completion.

Embrace internal process + documentation. At Cornerlight we are constantly striving to improve our internal processes to maximize output for our clients and work smarter, not harder. We're looking for someone willing to help adapt these processes as we change and grow.

Ability to be flexible and keep up with rapid change: The paid social landscape + ad platforms are changing literally every. single. day. What worked last week may not this week and vice versa.

Working in a dynamic industry at a small (but mighty!) company will require a level of flexibility and “roll with the punches” attitude that is fundamentally different from your average 9-5 corporate gig. In turn, your role will also be fundamentally more interesting/exciting than that desk job you may currently be trying to leave.


Availability

This role will be hourly to start (20+ hours per week) with the opportunity to develop into a full retainer-based contract position as we grow!

Remote role, but available during NYC business hours, 9am - 6pm EST* (i.e. can answer emails, take calls, manage campaigns)*Note: work/life balance is super important to us and this role will provide a more flexible lifestyle than your average agency office job. However, this is a service-based business and every once in a while, unexpected client inquiries will come up outside of these hours. A certain degree of flexibility is required and will always be much appreciated!

We've been a distributed agency since day 1 and have stayed the course as many companies are beginning to adjust to the new reality of remote work.
